'Suspend' in Antix

#1 Post by Chriske »

Hey guys,

Did a search on almost all menus a few times, but could not find how to set computer to 'Suspend' when going down.
Can it be done in Antix(last version)..?

thanks for replying,

I know a suspend button is in the exit panel. But what I was looking for is when pushing the power button it should go in suspend instead of shutting completely down.
In Mint this option is available

Hi again, Chis

I haven't done this myself but the you can try (at your own risk) adapting the answer found here: https://superuser.com/questions/699905/ ... wer-button

Basicly doing this:
1- Edit, in root mode, the file : /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/inet
2- edit the line that refers to POWR key part of this line's content should be "XF86PowerOff"
3- change that to "XF86XK_Suspend" or "XF86XK_Sleep" or "XF86Sleep" (I'm not really sure which, probably the last one is the safest bet)
4- Save the file
5- reboot
6- test the power button
