looking for help on getting network icon into the system tray/bottom panel

Having to go into the wicd program via the launcher is awkward. Any help would be appreciated.

Go into the desktop-session start up file (control center has handy links)and uncomment the wicd lines there. You will then get the icon on the toolbar next login

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.
