Isn't Dutch somehow similar to Low German? Or at least a bit ...Eadwine Rose wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 4:06 pm On the latter bit.. seriously we need more Dutch folk *sigh*
OG pointed me to the way to do translations offline which speeded up the task a lot for me.

It's not the speed that is the prob, it's the sheer lot of it. Small bulks are ok, large bulks less so (for me that is).
It is a bit similar haha, but also quite different

Re: Solved - Are there still monthly updated releases?
I've used some perl to replace identical descriptions, which are the most of them and replaced the translated names of language with correct grammer also with a perl script. The remaning part was also easier offline. I double checked with loading into a spreadsheet. OG gave me the corresponding name's to the descriptions, so it was easier and by this speedier.Eadwine Rose wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 4:34 pm It's not the speed that is the prob, it's the sheer lot of it. Haha nope. As far as script, I can use the suggestions once a few translations are provided, so that will speed stuff up.
Anyway.. what I am saying is to Adrian: don't wait for the Dutch translation. I'll get to it when I get to it.

Re: Solved - Are there still monthly updated releases?
I have been running a 2GB ASUS Eee 1015PEM Atom n550 based netbook for several months as a "church laptop" (instead of a tablet), with MX17.1 installed on a 16GB Sandisk SSD, with 750MB reserved as swap partition. I can't imagine why you'd not want to put MX on your Dell, instead of AntiX for your friend, as its cpu runs rings around the n550 in my netbook?

Adrian: Dutch translations are DONE.
Finally.
They're not perfect but they will have to make do.
