Volume Control

#1 Post by KBD »

AntiX is very fast on my Thinkpad with 3gb of ram. Love how fast this is.
My question--the thinklight works as does brightness control from keyboard buttons. But my volume control does not work, which is surprising as Thinkpads are well supported on Linux. Wondering if there is anything I can do to get my volume controls working? Volume works and can be controlled on the panel. Volume control buttons work on regular Debian Stretch as well as MX17.

Have you tried the hotkeys?

open the menu, in the top type "keyboard" (without the quotes) and click the keyboard result.

Then in the tab application shortcuts. You can assign keys there.

The op is running antix.

Right.click on the volume icon in the systray and select the preferences. There are.options inside to enable the volume control hotkeys.
