[SOLVED] ssh with file manager pcmanfm

#1 Post by stroudmw »

I'm running Antix 17 and am trying to connect to an Ubuntu server. I can connect via the command line using ssh without issues, but I'd much prefer a graphical tool for copying files. I've installed pcmanfm as my file manager, but when I click in "Go -> Network" I get "Operation not Supported". The same happens when I click on "Go -> Connect to Server".

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thank you.

you almost certainly need gvfs-backends for that kind of support in pcmanfm.

or you can try the ssh-conduit suite, which includes share mounting over ssh using sshfs. I'm planning a video on that one soon.

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

I used Filezilla instead of pcmanfm and it worked like a charm!
