kernel 4.14.3 is out but not on antiX repo yet.
there are still many bugs yet to be solve, can't wait for 4.15 ver.
4.13.13 is stable, 4.13.16 eol

I just used Package installer to update Kernel to 4.13.4 seems that did not happen. Something else I should have done?

Reboot and choose the new one at the grub? If antiX is not controlling your grub, then you will need to boot into the linux that is and type in a root terminal.

My experience with 4.13 (new MX17 beta2,3 and RC1) was sporadic crashes, 1-2 per day, usually at idle.
There are lots of reports of this on the web.
I have reverted RC1 to the 4.10 kernel used in antix 17 final. Under antix, with 4.10, 21 days up-time no lockups or crashes. Plus now >1.5 days with 4.10 under MX 17 RC1. All stable. It was so easy with the MX Package Installer. BTW, how is that list of available kernels populated from that list? What ever is in the enabled repos? Do you have to enable test repos to get more options?
I am also awaiting the 4.15...I hear there will be lots of new Ryzen code, including temperature monitoring.
For now, I will go with stability, and see how far 4.10 will take me with MX17 , and do more testing. Maybe I'll try a stress test with as many programs as possible, or I love the MX Snapshot tool, it pegs the CPU, top reports 1100% CPU for the squashfs !.... and the power at the wall goes from 50W to 140 Watts, that tests the cooling.
So far everything is working, so I can't see a benefit to 4.13 (unstable) or 4.14 (unknown). I read on the Liquorix boards, and it all seems very bleeding edge and buggy. What are users experience with liquorix stability?

Only have AntiX 17 installed on this system.
Thanks for the info: updated now. entropyfoe, I will check the stability on this system - There is little to lose in this system if crashes or completely borks...
Have another system for testing MX-17 RC1 that should be up and running tomorrow.

After a few days testing the newer kernel (4.13) I can confirm the systems runs well, except @ Idle, where system would lock up mouse cursor & freeze system. From behind the keyboard I did not notice anything different in boot speed, or video processing with the newer kernel. I have also reverted to 4.10 kernel and all is completely stable again.
