Just signed up with my antiX forum credentials, so that I could join this conversation.
Someone on the antiX forum suggested we all team up here.
I'm not sure that is a good idea, as the thread/forum we have here is easily overlooked - we'd need to have a much bigger presence here for it to work.
But, if we did, MX could be known as the 'Mega antiX' distro, whilst keeping antiX full, base, & core.
Would the MX guys go for it?
Probably not, they like their link back to Mepis.
antiX forum change - tapatalk?
Re: antiX forum change - tapatalk?
In my opinion, better to keep separate forums. Many antiX users do not use MX and vice versa, and I would guess neither would want to be inundated by posts from a distro they do not use. As far as MX hanging on to Mepis, not so much.

I don't see a problem with it myself at first glance.

Re: antiX forum change - tapatalk?
We already have an antiX section on this forum, if they want to use that they can.
Personally I would like antiX forums and front page (a Wiki) their presence on the web in general to look a bit more professional...

I tested and that has been fixed. I might also mention. When posting a youtube link. The video is now embedded onto our forum site using the tapatalk layout. Instead of just a link to click to go to youtube.kmathern wrote: Has the "/etc" bug been fixed?

Linked videos displayed inline, right in the forum page?

Embedded videos? Sheesh! I couldn't get it to attach a .png file. I use .png for screen shots because mine almost always contain text and jpeg can have difficulty with the sharp edges of the text and create artifacts. With .png I know it is WYSIWYG.
