I did have to install "Pulse Audio" so I would have audio.

Don't know what "a3" is.
a3 is alpha release 3.
Meaning there is still a lot of work to do before it can be considered ready for release.

Could you put up zsync files for the new ISOs, now that we know that works with at least two of the mirrors? The only one I have some doubt about is Sourceforge, but we could still test it.

I really like antiX.

I found a little problems trying to install this version on a btrfs partition with minstall.
In fact mkfs.btrfs is missing in /sbin folder . After the creation of a symink to the mkfs.btrfs file already contained in /bin folder I had no problem.

* virtualbox guest modules (which seem to be broken).
I found that uninstalling (with Synaptic) the installed guest modules and installing the sid versions of

Code: Select all

virtualbox-guest-dkms
virtualbox-guest-utils
virtualbox-guest-X11
appears to build the guest modules properly. Screen still doesn't auto-scale like it will with MX, but at least xrandr works to change resolution with the guest additions vbox video driver so I'm not stuck at 800x600.

@chrispop99,
On one machine, Conky has a black background at every boot until you stop/start it. On another machine, the problem doesn't happen.
Not sure if this is still a problem on a3 (still downloading), but had similar on antiX-16.2.
Changed to Use Own Window (or not). Don't want to reboot ax162 at the moment. Will update later when I can confirm what I did.

On initial run of a3 in Vbox, conky runs as expected, except for the fuzziness that showed.
Did not observe how often the fuziness appears.
Will install antiX-17a3 over antiX-16.2 partition later today.

conky [...] how often the fuziness appears.
whenever multiple instances of conky are running, each using the same conky config, battling to draw to the same screen coordinates.

I'll make sure there is only one instance active and see if that is the cause.
