just having a value in XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP doesn't help. It has to be a supported value, and a value that triggers gtk compatibility. LXqt and KDE do not trigger the compatibility. gnome, XFCE, and LXDE do. ROX and Old also do not work.
also, with qt5, icewm still has a problem with titles in the window bars. fluxbox and jwm are OK.
