GRUB

#1 Post by beckwith » Fri Feb 20, 2015 11:13 pm

I thought I'd already posted this, but obviously not.
I have debian 7.8 on sda1, I installed Mepis 12 on sda4,
but GRUB is now overwritten, so I boot debian. How
edit/configure GRUB so that my m/c will dual boot
debian and mepis

Hi beckwith, I was going to tell you to install kcm-grub2 but it looks like that's only in our test cr for m12. I don't see it in stock debian. I did just put an MX CD in the tray and rebooted to that and could get to MXs boot/Grub repair tool. You shoud be able to edit the existing grub with that. - mike

You do not need to edit or configure anything,
just run as root in Debian,

Code: Select all

update-grub
