If the problem were quickly and reliably reproducible, you'd be correct, but it's been intermittent; even the same online articles don't produce the problem every time I open them (and it's hard to find the articles that did, a day or two afterward).

Well, 48+ hours since I installed the update to Linterna Magica, several headline browsing sessions (which is where I've had the bulk of the problems), and I haven't seen a recurrence of the "invisible window" or any other warning about a non-responsive script (which used to occur two or three times an hour), though I've had Flash Player crash a few more times on some video hosting sites and pages with Flash ads. Looks like this was a bug in Linterna Magica version 1.10. Conveniently, Linterna Magica checks for update availability when it's running, so I was able to get the update promptly when it became available.
