It is possible, but would put "MX Linux" instead so we wouldn't have to recode it later. We would have to figure out how to separate MEPIS and MX users, maybe richb or somebody else has an idea about that.

I am not sure what this is referring to. Where and in what context is the phrase Mepis Rules used?

Upper left of a post, under a user's name who has a certain number of posts (I guess). I have MEPIS Enthusiast under my username, you have Administrator.

I just looked throught the ACP but could not locate where that text is specified.

Allow me to think about this. There is no easy way to separate who uses which OS, and we still support Mepis, so a general change will not be done.. It is a general setting based on number of posts. Special ranks can be added, so by request of an individual I think a different phrase can be used. I will have to investigate.

The admin setting is under users and groups, rank settings.

Jerry EDIT: removed last sentence

Glad to know where it is, thanks. But I will raise this topic in the Moderator's Forum before we proceed.

Allow me to clarify; what I'm referring to is the small text that's in the box on the LH side of a post.
Items in this box from top to bottom are:
user name
Mepis Rules! (this is the it)
a number of small pyramids
avatar
Joined
posts
Location
Has thanked
have thanks

I've noted the string in the location for "Mepis Rules!" appears for other users as
"Mepis Guide", "Mepis Enthusiast", "[blank]", "Mepis is cool!" and so on.

I thought it was user configurable and I just couldn't find it in the User Control Panel ->Profile settings.

Yeah, thanks, we're onto it! The Mods need a bit of time to discuss this, because it raises some structural issues we need to settle.

I'm wondering why I have no pyramids after years on the forum. Makes me feel...inadequate...
