Attachment Types and sizes.

#1 Post by richb »

Attachments

The following attachments are allowed in posts:

Archive type extensions
7z, ace, bz2, gtar, gz, rar, tar, tgz, torrent, zip

Document type extensions
.odt, ai, doc, docm, docx, dot, dotm, dotx, odg, odp, ods, odt, pdf, ppt, pptm, pptx, ps, rtf, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx

Image type extensions
gif, jpeg, jpg, png

Text type extensions
c, cpp, csv, diz, h, hpp, ini, log, txt, xml

The maximum file size for attachments is 256K for both private and public posts.
The maximum number of attachments per post is 3 for public posts, and 1 for private posts.

When possible the system will automatically create a thumbnail for images. By clicking on the thumbnail, the original image will display.
By default, attachment thumbnails are placed at the bottom of the post in ascending order, that is, first uploaded by time will be first.
If you want the attachment interspersed in the text, click the inline button, next to the attachment file name, after the attachment is uploaded. This will wrap the attachment in tags. The tags and attachment can then be moved where you want.
