Re: Makeuseof review
Thanks for posting here Chris. Good review to "entice" Windows users. Too bad he did not use MX Tweak to move the panel.

I think it's because I left Win for good right after WinXP that I find articles with a Win focus uninteresting. :( I like MX Linux but not because it looks or behaves 'anything' like Windows. I think it is excellent in its own right. (Just an old opinionated guy... sorry.)

Re: Makeuseof review
Perhaps uninteresting for us. But the point is interesting for disaffected Windows users looking for something else.manyroads wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 7:29 pm I think it's because I left Win for good right after WinXP that I find articles with a Win focus uninteresting. :( I like MX Linux but not because it looks or behaves 'anything' like Windows. Re: Makeuseof review
Kinda weird. When I started with Linux I wanted it to be different from Windows as possible! Now lots of distros are all about making Linux look and behave just like Windows. Yuck!
Re: Makeuseof review
that win-10 is slowly, but surely causing Folks to look for an Alternative System.
but, that site can be a bit too Flippant at times, but that review, wasn't too bad, actually.
- a little too brief in it's overview, but nether-less a good appraisal.

Re: Makeuseof review
After using Linux exclusively for a number of years it is hard to put myself in a windows users mindset.
Using Linux since around 2002 I think it was. I just don't think like that anymore.
I purposely left windows because I did not like Microsoft.
So yeah it is hard to remember when I was still tied to Windows because I needed some of their software.
But I have friends and relatives that still use it and I kinda block out that kind of stuff because I am not interested in it anymore.
It is like a habit that I used to have I can't go back to that mindset because I don't do that anymore.
Just my two cents.
