Magazine high praise!
Re: Magazine high praise!
The June 2018 issue is now up on the website, along with a separate PDF of the MX 17.1 review that can be downloaded by subscribers. Perhaps Chris could copy some more quotes from the PDF for the review.
Re: Magazine high praise!
I'm not putting more quotes in, that ship has sailed.
People seem to misunderstand: that Reviews page is just a commented index. But if someone has a mind to add more, be my guest. Or take the whole thing over...

Well, you'll be glad to know that they also praised the user manual, which other reviewers miss so often. They also expressed surprise that mx-snapshot worked without errors "even in a severely limited VirtualBox environment with less than 2GB RAM."

Some of the criticisms of the installer might warrant examination perhaps?

Thanks, a good solid look. I like reviews that actually provide a critique, and I agree with Chris that we will want to think about his installer comments.

That was my reaction as well regarding the installer. That is, evaluating his criticisms.

Good thing we already updated the installer. He used the original release iso which still had the old installer. The new one should address the keyboard issue. The other comments....ok.
Nice that he got the new mxpi. ..he must have done updates after the install.

It was a nice review and sums up what I feel about those who are keeping it going. Thanks to all who keep MX going. :)
And it's improving all the time.
