I wrote the wiki entry (edited by Jerry) and did test it with 4.12.

As far as I know, the different options in the wiki entry to deal with thin borders do work. (I haven't checked the xfce links for some time though)
Desktop: Intel i5-4460, 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics
Clevo N130WU-based Ultrabook: Intel i7-8550U (Kaby Lake R), 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics (UEFI)
ASUS X42D laptop: AMD Phenom II, 6GB RAM, Mobility Radeon HD 5400

Hello AK-47 and Hello Everyone
Hello asqwerth The subject of that wiki is wider window screen edge borders, so You did well to include exposing some of the best of these tips while highlighting and sharing the work of rich on the thicker grabbing parts. Thick, thickening thanks for all that wiki, and I really mean big thank You without the joking.
