The window borders are really thin by default, like 1 pixel thin. So manually resizing windows can be annoying (by drag-n'-dropping an edge or corner of the window). If the window is not maximized, then a nice keyboard shortcut to automatically grab the lower right corner for resizing is Alt+F8. That's my favorite keyboard shortcut, at present.

For windows resizing I use left Alt and right mouse button (for me it is quicker than Alt + F8).

Well, I should say that my favourite shortcut is F4 - drop down terminal (and F11 full screen) ;) (I've changed F4 to F12, and I have now F12 and F11 - very convenient).

F4 is great invention and if there was not such a shortcut, I would be install Guake terminal (which has default F12). With MX there is no need.

For me, one of the most important and useful thing in MX is F4 ;)

Thanks! I see that the trick is to be nearest the edge that you want to move around, as you do that.

With Alt and right mouse button your cursor can be anywhere on the window area, not only in bottom right corner. And you can resize window in any direction.

For windows, there are 2 more great shortcuts, Alt + F10 for maximizing and Alt+F11 for full screen. It is good to test and see yourself.

Alt left mouse button moves the entire screen around, should you want that :)
