Whenever I get web pages not loading or at best very slowly, I notice in the lower left corner that the holdup usually has to do with waiting for fonts.googleapis.com. It got so annoying this morning that I finally did a web search on it, and found this very helpful document:
http://www.webnots.com/fix-slow-page-lo ... eapis-com/
I tried switching to from Iceweasel to Chromium just now for the page that was not loading, and that connected instantly. Not sure how I am going to handle this problem in the future, but am glad to know what is going on and some of the possible solutions.

Re: fonts.googleapis.com
Jerry,
At the bottom of the page link, Sandra commented: "It was driving me crazy and now I got an idea of whats happening. Changed to static DNS and now the pages are loading super fast."
I looked in the manual (section 3.4), but can't find a reference performing this change. I also did a search, as I have seen this info posted several times over the years. Can you or someone with better skills than myself, point me in the correct direction for changing this in MX-14.4. I am wired connected in all my systems.
