Very sensible, Jerry. It's about time America joined the rest of the world!

I've not tried to find A4 around here. It is probably possible to find, but I might be giving up something that's less expensive.
Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.

Why would you want it? It will not fit in our notebooks, and is non-standard to most things page related in the US.

I think the basic issue here is the metric system...

Yes, it is. I went fully metric in 1975, along with most of the construction industry in the UK (there were some hangovers for a while). ISO paper sizes are much more sensible than the older systems, and if I can use A4 instead of Foolscap (13"x8") I'm sure you could make the transition quite quickly. Mind, I'm not holding my breath - if NASA confuse the two systems, what hope for ordinary users.

We have tried. I was on a team to convert a Fortune 500 company to metric in the mid 80's. Some progress was made but the legacy of designs and manufacturing equipment several decades old thwarted the program. It never did fully take hold.

I still have my Metric logo golf shirt. A bit faded but still usable and it still fits.

Without getting into a lengthy discussion which system is better.. does this trick work for others? Or is it just me?
