In any case the printer will not print. It will start feeding paper if I try to print and run page after page through untill it runs out of paper but prints nothing.

The dcp7065dnlpr-2.1.0-1.i386.deb package installed okay.

Is there another package that also needs to be installed? In Tim's first reply in this thread, viewtopic.php?p=315537#p315537, he says two deb files need to be installed.

The message says the driver installed.

Does M11 use the CUPS system? If so, you will also need to install the cupswrapper driver found at the same download location as the lpr driver. This is how my brother printer works in antix.

You are doing the same thing you did before. You are not in your Downloads folder when you ran the dpkg command.

What's happening is that you are opening the archive, then launching your terminal, but its putting you into the archive folder instead of the Downloads folder.

So launch the terminal when you are in the Downloads folder instead.

No worries. I wish brother made this easier, but we get what we get sometimes.

Again you're in the wrong directory.
Try this:

Code: Select all

dpkg -i --force-architecture /home/Denny/Downloads/cupswrapperDCP7065DN-2.0.4-2.i386.deb

Still getting an error.

I actually don't see the cupswrapper deb in your screenshot.

Is this better? Still not getting something right. Thanks

I don't either.

It might be in /var/tmp.

If it's not there, download it again and make sure it's in the /home/Denny/Downloads directory before running the dpkg command.
