I have an HP Laserjet P11002w which works fine with the hplip-3.16.x, also 3.15.x and 3.14.x.
If yours doesn't have the "w" only means it is not wireless enabled.
Imagine the rest of the printer is the same, but have not looked it up.

Do NOT run hp-setup -i as root, only as user. It will ask for root when necessary.

In a nutshell: Both are USB printers.
The P1102w is black, has a wifi connection and 8 MB memory
while the P1102 is white, has NO wifi connection and 2 MB memory.

And there's this: http://www.printerworks.com/DataSheets/ ... asheet.pdf
and http://www.printerworks.com/DataSheets/ ... asheet.pdf
which seem to say about the same.
