[RISOLTO] Disabilitare automount HD-Partizioni al boot

#1 Post by balarm »

Translation from deepl.com:

Good evening, I got a snapshot, resetting my account, of Mx17 Horizon installed on my thinkpad and then I installed it on another PC in dual boot with windows7 and equipped with an HD where I keep the data

Everything is fine and working except that I find myself with the partitions of win7 (including the one reserved for the system) and the HD containing the data already mounted. I specify that I have not put the check through Mx Tool tweak "Allow the mounting of internal devices to non-root users". :frown:

I have taken note of the file fstab, mtab, and inxi realtive to the PC in case it is necessary to attach them.

I have reinstalled and the problem reoccurs.

I hope I've made myself clear.

Thank you for your attention.

@ fehlix I don't know if these output are good since my desktop now isn't here and I'll let you know the output of parted --list
@ penguin I'll install your suggestion software and try if I solve; anyway if I well remember I installed the same precedent distro of MX and always it asked me the root passwd to mount any internal drive or partition. Even in this thinkpad-lenovo it asks me the root passwd to mount the dati partition every.

I think it might be better to show info's from the desktop, which has the automount issue you mentioned above.

If you have "Enable mounting of internal drives by non-root users", within MX-Tweak -> Other-tab, you should not need to enter root password for mounting internal partitions, when you are looged in as normal user.

These are the output of desktop, I saved these files last thay excepted the parted --list one that you asked me because i didn't know. No,I confirm I dind't enabled the mounting option by Mx-tweak > Other Tab.

Ahh, ok.
Is "mx17" the username on the desktop?
And these are the"automounts" mounts in question:

Code: Select all

/dev/sdc1 /media/mx17/W7ProAgo64wpi fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
/dev/sdb1 /media/mx17/DATIN fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
/dev/sda1 /media/mx17/Riservato\040per\040il\040sistema fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
/dev/sda2 /media/mx17/F248A33E48A30089 fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
Those mounts appear to be caused by Thunar's automount.
Please do turn off within "Removable Drives and Media" -> "Mount removable".
Reason: Within some BIOS's you can set internal SATA-drives to appear as removable eSATA devices.
And by this, those "internal drives show up as removable devices.
Please, do show also "parted --list" output, as mentioned above.

@fehlix: yes, those /dev/sdx are the drives/partitions automounted and "mx17" is the name of the desktop; of course I'll show you the output of "parted --list" as soon as possible and check Thunar's automount options.
By and thanks.

Usa gnome-disk utility.E molto facile e non ti chiede piu admin password ognni volta.Traschina il buttone manually(do not mount automatically)
Sono lontano dal mio laptop , ma nei righe dell tuo fstab manca il flag noauto

Code: Select all

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fstab
The options common to all filesystems are:

auto / noauto
With the auto option, the device will be mounted automatically at bootup or when the mount -a command is issued. auto is the default option. For the device not to be mounted automatically, the noauto option is used in /etc/fstab. With noauto, the device can be only mounted explicitly.
vedi questa :

Code: Select all

https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1803779
nell tuo fstab :
/dev/sdc1 /media/mx17/W7ProAgo64wpi fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
/dev/sdb1 /media/mx17/DATIN fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
/dev/sda1 /media/mx17/Riservato\040per\040il\040sistema fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
/dev/sda2 /media/mx17/F248A33E48A30089 fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0
prova per ezempio
/dev/sdc1 /media/mx17/W7ProAgo64wpi fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096,noauto 0 0
Vedi noauto
