[vernünftig gelöst] Snapshot - minstall - bootet nur bis grub>

es war nich der erste Snapshot den ich wiederherstellte, der erste mit Problemen.

Installationseinstellungen manuell wie gehabt (Grub auf MBR sda), nach dem Neustart bleibt das Bootfenster bei Grub> stehen

sda1, ext4, rootMX17 - sda2, ext4, homeMX17 - sda3, ntfs, Erweiterte Part., Datenspeicher
(sda im Bios als erstes Startlaufwerk eingestellt)
sdb, ntfs, win7 (startet per F12 Bootmenü, Laptop)
sdc, ntfs, Datenspeicher

Ich hoffe den richtigen Abschnitt kopiert zu haben, snapshot 09.07.2018, der hat nicht funktioniert.

Woran liegt es? Gibt es eine Chance das 9.7.18.iso zum Laufen zu bringen, Grub zu reparieren?

Andererseits ist mit 8 Tagen Differenz nicht sehr viel verloren, bzw. kann ich die Thunderbird und Browserprofile vom Stick kopieren. Wichtige Daten liegen doppelt auf sdc.

"Kanonischer Pfad" au weia, Voodoo? ;-)
Was mir noch auffiel, beim ersten nicht funktionierenden iso - homeantix17.
Bisher stand da immer homeMX17.
Habe ich dann beim 2ten iso wieder manuell geändert.

Danke, ich gehe jetzt erst mal eine Pizza essen :-)

Wat haste nu wida jemacht...;=) Also jeze mal janz langsam.
Startet das snapshot-LiveUSB oder nicht? Dat is mir eher unklar aus deinem geschripsel da oben.
so nehm wa ma an dat wääre so. dann fehlt möchlicherweise nach dem kanonische grub fehler,
eben nur dat grub im ziel. also einfach mit einem livestick grub-repair starten. dat mut dann jehn.

Was für Deutsch ist das? Plattdeutsch?

Deutscher Akzent tatsächlich (glaube ich). Oder ein losen Draht, könnte auch passieren. ;)

Also Pattdeutsch schonmal nicht. Das würde der OP möglicherweise nicht verstehen, oder?
Eher so etwas wie eine lockere Mundartmischung.
Natürlich kein Vergleich zum weltberühmten Kulmbacher-Dialekt, wovon wir ja vielleicht
etwas zur Erbauung erhaschen könnten - wäre doch mal nett. ;)

Ihr seit eben nicht global unterwegs wie die Kulmbacher ;-)

Also, 2 snapshots stehen zur Verfügung, 1.7. und 9.7.
Prüfsummen gecheckt, passt
Per USB Abbilderstellung (mintstick -m iso) den Live Stick erstellt
Stick bootet, Live MX ist da
minstall ausgeführt, wie schon etliche Mal vorher
Installation abgeschlossen, Stick raus und reboot
Thinkpad Bootscreen, kurze Pause,
es erscheint ein Text .... und grub> am Ende, und nix passiert weiter
Das betrifft jetzt den Stick mit dem snapshot vom 9.7., damit kann ich also keine MX Bootrep. durchführen
ausser das geht am Anfang nach grub> und davon hab ich keinen Plan.

Jetzt bin ich mit dem snapshot vom 1.7. hier, älteres iso auf anderem Stick.
minstall lief durch, Stick raus, reboot und MX startet wie ich es bisher kannte von sda, halt nur mit Stand vom 1.7. ...

So, und nun hebt alle mal den rechten Fuß --- Ihr steht auf der Leitung ;-)

Na geht doch. ;)
Also dat boot-repariere dingelchens kannst du von jedem mx-live stick starten. also
entweder einer deiner neuen snappies oder eben ein letztes MX Juni oder Workbench.
Dat macht denne det starter dingesbumes wieder heile.
Vermute mal nur das teil noch fehlt. die grub-installation ist der 2te teil der mx-installation.
grub ist quasi unabhängig von der eigentlichen linux-installation.
Klare Sache und damit hopp ..

ik habe Dir oben die zweiten Teile der Inst in "codes" gepostet, ganz so dusslig bin ich auch nicht ;-)

Meine fehlende Synapse: Grub am Stick ist im Eimer !!! Für mich gehört der auf die Platte...
OK, dann werde ich mal den 9.7. Stick mit Bootreparatur behandeln
Grub ist anscheinend öfter mal im Eimer, oder wozu ist das Reparatur Teil sonst da?
Hmh, oder lose Drähte ;-)

ALso wie ich dat verstehe. Installation auf der Platte hat bis auf die grub-installtion geklappt. richtig?
So nun installiern wir mit einem funktionierendem LiveStick ( eines deiner Snappies ode einem andern MX LiveStick)
nur das Grub auf die Platte neu. Und das mach wir mit "MX Boot_Reparatur".
Das Teil installiert Grub und Grubmenu neu auf die Platte!
Oder bin ich ein zu wuscheliger, bregenklöteriger Dösbattel.

Richtig, installiert werden beide.

Das 9.7. iso startet nach dem Thinkpadlogo mit:
Gnu Grub ver. 2.02. beta 3-5
Minimal Bash-like line editing is supported ...
Grub> und dann ist Ende

Das 1.7. iso startet perfekt, keine Probleme.

Nun hatte ich wieder den 9.7. snapshot auf sda installiert, ausprobiert, da ist der Wurm drin.

MX Boot-Reparatur vom Stick, erst 9.7., dann 1.7.
GRUB-Konfigurationsdatei wird erstellt …

Gibt ja noch "Bootloader GRUB neu installieren". Screenshot ist weg, war irgendein anderer Blödsinn. Ging jedenfalls nicht.

Nachdem ich kanonische Pfade überhaupts nicht leiden kann, und verkorkste 9.7. isos erst Recht nicht, läuft jetzt das 1.7. iso und ist schon fast wieder so wie es gehört.

Zu verstehen ist es absolut nicht, da ja ein Stick perfekt arbeitet wie bisher. Nun sind es 3 Sticks, hatte vorhin noch das üble iso auf einen anderen Stick geschoben, ging auch nicht.

Kein Wunder, alles klar: Gestohlene Kanonenkugel wieder da
