It needed a bit more than that. In addition to the libs not updating, only bits of LXQt were updating if you selected either the lxqt metapackage or lxqt-core.
I added the versioned lib dependencies to lxqt-panel since it uses all of the three problematic libs and gets pulled in by lxqt-core as well as updating the metapackages to keep everything applicable >= 0.13~

After a succesful local test upgrade (I versioned something I shouldn't have the last time) I'll build them on i386 & upload.

This is what I have in the new MX-LXQt

Image

Does it look right? I see a bunch of -l10n at 0.11 version, does that hurt anything?

That looks fine. Stevo didn't build new l10n packages.
But you went through updating everything that looked applicable instead of depending on the metapackage to do that for you (like it's supposed to).

I just finished an installation on usb key.
It's getting better and better, the menu is better with the MX tools and System Tools separated, overall this iso is more fluid than the previous one.
On the other hand, in /usr/share/applications/, there is the launcher for window effects but it does not appear in the menu. It is essential to activate shadows and transparency.
Thank you

Hello Adrian
When contemplating a shift to either lxqt or kde
is it worthwhile to alter the display manager to sddm?
or install its package still keeping lightdm in place, to have some of the sddm dependencies handle some of these glitches? can it work that way?
edit add: seen lightdm-kde-greeter needs libplasma3>=4:4.4.4-2~(latest repo is 4:4.14.26-2)
,so that is possible for an mx-kde, though the regular lightdm should work. packages for trial sddm seem in place in mx mostly. I have not trialed since kde on mx15beta or lxqt on antix 17alpha. i admire your work.
Respectfully

I wish obmenu could be integrated in the iso & menu, for easy customizing OB desktop menu ;)

FWIW, the most recent LXQt release is 0.14.1; released the end of Feb 2019 (see: https://lxqt.org/releases/).

Good evening,
I tested some distros with LXQT, Manjaro, Artix, void, debian, Sparky, Lubuntu 19.04 and MX, and well, the one that works best on my laptop is the MX. The manjaro crashes, the lubuntu still mismanages the hardware (fan & sleep exit), debian is awfull, Artix is  I can't install Void, don't know why but the MXLXQT.............................. simply works.
Well done!

I installed it on my Ubuntu 19.04 partition. It's really good actually. I used it with xfwm, because xfwm was already installed by Xfce. LXQT put the xfwm settings in LXQT Control Panel so I could tweak everything from inside LXQT.

This is going to be my fallback DE. :puppy: I think version 1.0 will come this year. Lots of theming options including using Kvantum and gtk2 themes thanks to the gtk2 QT theme engine (widget style).
