MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
Yes, not either or. I also use a modified Compiz /Emerald theme. 98 % of the time. But there are times I switch back to the XFCE DE. So the large title bar Window themes are welcome.

There are thousands of themes (for icons, mouse cursors, and windows). Choice is certainly plentiful.

Indeed. But the team is trying to make them easier for users to find and install.

I certainly support those efforts; and, I, also, believe those who find something special that they value are generous when sharing those insights. Readers are free to use what they will. Such is the beauty of "choice".

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
Well, give me a better name than "Borders" for richb's theme, and I'll package it. I also need a better license than just "free"...how about whatever the Numix that it's derived from is using?
Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
rich's not richb's. Not me.

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
OK...maybe "Numix Thick", since it's based on that theme?
Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
I recall checking the licence for Numix previously, and noted that it was GPL. So rich's modification/variant of Numix should still be under the same GPL licence, right?
Proposal for name: Numix-Thick-Adaptive ?

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
... In fact it is this great name and description, and nice theme ... (I also like Arc-Dark with this kind of borders):
Code: Select all
Numix-xfce-borders-thick
Modified Numix XFCE Thick window theme with thicker, adaptive borders.

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The City/Onecolor/Nu Window Decorations Thread
Yes, that's what I decided to call it in the end, and I used the same GPL-3.0+ license as Numix. It's now in the main MX 15-18 repos.
