MX 17 Repository: The PPSSPP Thread

#1 Post by Stevo »

PPSSPP (Playstation Portable Simulator Suitable for Playing Portably) is a Playstation Portable emulator for desktop PCs, including Linux, and also mobile phones. We now have the latest 1.7.0 release in our test repository, ported over from the source code available in the developers' Ubuntu PPA.

You have a choice of two packages to install: ppsspp-qt or ppsspp-sdl. My laptop gets better font sizes with the sdl version, YMMV. You can download and install some freeware games or demos directly from within the program, and you can also legally download and try some demo versions of PSP games on their website--that's how I tested that my build was working.

Sure, they're just links to images on the ppsspp home page...

I just got the latest Java 11 openjdk version built, this time the 32-bit builds didn't fail, but that'll take a while to upload, and is for another tweet.

I don't think we have yet for MX 19, but that can be corrected...
