At least the OP had a wacom-digitizer, but didn't follow the topic since november.

Some more google-fu, also with wacom-digtizer

Of course on antiX your backported version want's to pull in libsystemd0, sadly.
Well, let's see how difficult it is to remove systemd, then...

Edit: looks to be pretty easy by flipping the configure flags for Linux in debian/rules.flags; am building a nosystemd version for Stretch in yet another OBS repo.

Try this for antiX: https://software.opensuse.org//download ... -xorg-core

As root:

Code: Select all

echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/stevenpusser:/xserver-xorg-core-backport-no-systemd/Debian_9.0/ /' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/home:stevenpusser:xserver-xorg-core-backport-no-systemd.list
Standard user:

Code: Select all

rm -f Release.key && wget -nv https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:stevenpusser:xserver-xorg-core-backport-no-systemd/Debian_9.0/Release.key -O Release.key
Back to root:

Code: Select all

apt-key add - < Release.key
apt update
apt -s upgrade
After checking what the simulated upgrade will do, then

Code: Select all

apt upgrade

It appears that the OBS is taking its own sweet time in moving the finished amd64 packages to the repo: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show ... no-systemd

All I can suggest is that you try again later--it should work when an amd64/ folder appears here: https://download.opensuse.org/repositor ... ebian_9.0/

OK. I try again later. The OP from antix-forum hasn't been heard for a few days now. I am pleased to be able to lead him here, if everything can be installed well.
By the way, you react faster than one can ask.Thank you again!

Yes, it appears that the amd64 packages are "stuck", which seems to be an intermittent problem with the OBS and that architecture. Usually the problem clears up overnight, though. If they do fix the boot and systemd issues, I think that antiX should add it to their own nosystemd repo, though.

Yes, and installs fine without pulling in any systemd stuff.

Hi caprea, Stevo and Hierax_ca,

I just got back from a vacation and saw the posts on the antix forum from caprea and Hierax_ca and came here to follow up. I am currently running antix as a live USB only and have not apparently mastered persistence files with 17.1.

I plan to install antix as a replacement OS for my current "array".

I have printed the instructions from Stevo's post #13, and will report back here and on the antix forum when I have results.

Parenthetically, Stevo, you have helped me in the past with a problem with Wheezy. So (hopefully) thanks again.

Thanks to all of you for this help.
