recoll 1.23.7

#1 Post by Jerry3904 » Fri Mar 02, 2018 5:03 pm

Tarball here: https://www.lesbonscomptes.com/recoll/r ... 3.7.tar.gz

We currently have 1.22.4-1, but it would be nice to update the highest-rated advanced search gui app when time is available. There is a Debian Stretch repo

deb http://www.lesbonscomptes.com/recoll/debian/ stretch main

but Fix Apt Keys couldn't find a key for it and even the manual method provided fails.
Production: 4.15.0-1-amd64, MX-17.1, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 8 GB, Kingston SSD 120 GB and WesternDigital 1TB
Testing: AAO 722: 4.15.0-1-386. MX-17.1, AMD C-60 APU, 4 GB

1.23.7 is also in Debian testing, so we can pull the sources from there. It's going to use Qt 5.

Does it put up any kind of system tray icon like qBittorrent? Those have trouble with Qt 5 apps in MX 15/16.

Don't know, sorry, out of town and didn't install it on my testing machine from here.

OK, it's uploading, but in line behind big digikam and vlc uploads after waiting for the archive.org ISO uploads.

This may not be directly related to this thread. Reccoll query syntax supports Boolean but not NEAR operator where you can control the distance between the words. Example "bread NEAR cheese" means that the term cheese must exist within 10 words of bread. Or does Recoll have another syntax doing same query with words?

You're right, it doesn't belong in this thread. Maybe look in its excellent User Manual (yeah!)
