Of course! That's why we're here. I see we have new furniture packages too. I'll get those as well.

sweethome3d_6.1.2+dfsg-2 is in test now. See if you can get to and install it. - mikesrq2625 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 4:35 pm Version 6.1 was released 22JAN2019 (6.1.2 on 01FEB2019) and there are A LOT of features improved/updated/fixed/created when compared to 5.7 (see this page --> http://www.sweethome3d.com/history.jsp):
Can I make a request for 6.1.2 be included in the test repo?

Re: MX 17 Repository: The sweethome3d Thread
WOW - that was fast! I was expecting there to be a reasonable period (2 or 4 days) before I got a response. But - the S/W is available in less than a day! How crazy is that!
Installation and initial S/W load went smooth.
I'll be working with this over the course of the next 3 weeks to 3 months (depending on how smoothly the design effort goes) and I'll provide status updates as I go along and as I see them to be appropriate.
Again, thanks for the way quick response!

Re: MX 17 Repository: The sweethome3d Thread
I've done a little bit of testing and have found what I think might be a problem. The application as a 3d viewer which contains a pointing device (icon) in the upper left corner. When one clicks that pointing device or clicks the window of another application, the 3d view of one's construction disappears.
What I plan to do next (in the next day or two) is to download the .deb file from the "source site", uninstall the copy from our Test repo, install the .deb version and see if the problem is present in the .deb version.
Stay tuned to this Bat-Channel of the next update...

Attempted to install from their "installation package". No joy.
Bottom line, I don't think the 6.1.2 that you compiled is ready for prime time.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The sweethome3d Thread
Do you have a saved file I could take a look at?
And did you see a similar problem with the version from stretch (5.3+dfsg-2)?
I got the build sources from debian and I don't see any difference in the sets from sid or buster...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The sweethome3d Thread
I'm not understanding what you mean by a "saved file". Are you looking for a work file or the package I downloaded from here?
As for 5.3 - I do not have the same problem. That version seems to work just fine, at least as far as I've been able to dig into it.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The sweethome3d Thread
When you open sweethome3d and work on something, you save your work as a .sh3d file. I was asking for a .sh3d file you had saved from the newer release for "the 3d view of one's construction". I've only tinkered with this application, so I don't have anything built to load and exactly replicate what you're seeing. I wouldn't mind posting something in their forums if I could better understand what you're seeing. Having a common file to reference and the steps to get to the error would help a lot. Or you could post something yourself.
As an example, here's a sample from their gallery SweetHome3DExample13-AlpsHotel.sh3d I just stuck in my google drive. Do you see the problem after loading this file? If so, what clicks do you make to get to the error? I don't know what version of sweethome3d this was created on though, only that it was newer (I get a message for this when I load it in the 5.3+dfsg-2 I have installed on my laptop).

Re: MX 17 Repository: The sweethome3d Thread
Ok, because I reloaded 5.3 to my "big" computer, I installed 6.1.2 on the following computer:
The attached file is just 4 walls, no floor, roof, or any other embelishments. Please understand, the complexity of the file does not seem to influence the "problem behavior" I have noticed.
Problem description:
In the bottom right window, click on any part of the green icon in the upper left corner. The 3D rendering disappears. Resize the lower right corner window and the 3D rendering reappears.
This behavior is not found in the 5.3 from the standard MX repo.
