It does seem to bring in some GNOME stuff, which is odd for a Qt package. Glad to hear that it works!

UPDATE:

In the meantime I did intensive testing on the SIP part of Ring. The bottom line is: Whatever I do, I don't get it to connect with a fairly standard provider-operated SIP account. Seems to me that the SIP part of Ring is still buggy, as was reported two long years ago (cf. viewtopic.php?p=439968#p439968).

@dr-kart: Can you confirm this?
