Yeah, I managed to test it with my two friends using iPhones for ring.cx app
And it seems like linux client (on my side apparently) is sort of buggy
I can hear their voices with incoming calls but they do not (( hear me
Lucky you - at least you got something!
I tried to make MX-17.1 and its 20180228.1.503da2b~ds1-1~mx17+2 test version of Ring
communicate with a friend's Fairphone 2
(latest version) that runs the current Ring
version "20180501", as distributed by F-Droid
), on a Fairphone Open 18.04.1
base (which is a freedom-oriented Android
version, similar to LineageOS
, optimized for the modular Fairphone 2
The smartphone's Ring can catch the QR code
from the MX-17.1 system's Ring
and read it, but none of the two can communicate with each other
. On the smartphone, there's an exclamation mark in a red circle, right next to the smartphone's Ring
account where it is displayed within the app. So I guess that the problem is that the smartphone's Ring app can't register the account
, by an unknown reason.
Unfortunately I'll have to give back the phone tomorrow (had this one here only for testing), so I don't know when I might be able to proceed with testing.
Has anyone else been successful?
