MX 17/18 Repository: The qBittorrent Thread
MX 17/18 Repository: The qBittorrent Thread
We now have the latest qBittorrent 4.0.2 in our test repository. It's built against libraries already available in standard MX 17, making it simple to move to main after testing. This is a major update from our last 3.3.16 version; the large number of changes and fixes can be seen here. It is not feasible to build it on a MX 15/16 platform any longer without a major update of Qt 5 to at least 5.5.1, so that's very probably not going to happen, so future updates will be restricted to MX 17.
This is probably the best Linux Bittorrent program available, and we'd appreciate feedback from testers so we can move it to main.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The qBittorrent Thread
4.1.0 installed and running OK. Have not yet checked any of the fixes or improvements, will leave it running (as usual) and see if any glitches show up. The number
of users downloading has dropped off, as might be expected. 64 bit MX continues to be the most popular and there's an occasional burst of activity downloading antiX.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The qBittorrent Thread
I installed 4.10 and downloaded a torrent. No problems encountered so far, but I can't claim to be a heavy user.
