We now have the latest Neofetch 3.3.0 in our main repository. This is a terminal application that detects the OS, displays an ASCII or bitmap image of the distro's logo, and also shows information about the desktop and system. This is very useful in posting screenshots of your customized desktop.
This can be used instead of the unmaintained screenfetch command. They have built-in support for MX now.
What about including this tiny package on the ISO?

+1 for inclusion in the release ISO.

Not sure what it's really good for, but if it's tiny there's no harm I guess

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Neofetch Thread
I recall some discussion re Neofetch in relation to the testing/reviewing and some related online visual presence, in the most vague terms...
I do find it a good reminder of current version/partition here and know there was some effort put into ASCI art, at the least.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Neofetch Thread
Well, this version's MX logo appears to have been generated by a bitmap-ascii art converter. We could no doubt make a better looking one with some effort and send it up for inclusion, but it would have to look good on any terminal color configuration.
Re: MX 17 Repository: The Neofetch Thread
Hi,
I just discovered neofetch the other day and didn't like the logo, because it is so blocky, so I made my own version. I only just noted that there had been very similar versions earlier in another, much older thread. By mistake, I answered this message into the old thread and necroed the hell out of it. Sorry about that.
(For reference, this is the old thread: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=41023&p=402463#p402463)
Anyway, this is my version.
So, basically, it is inverted from the default that neofetch is producing. A new thing in this version compared to other ones in the old thread, is that I changed the 'M's and other uppercase letters in the X shape into 'X's. It's just a little detail.
Made with the official logo, nomacs, jp2a and vim.

Updated to 6.1.0 in the main repo. This also includes a patch to have it work correctly in MX 19.
