Would it be possible to update Firefox-esr to version 52.5.0 in MX16 and MX17 ?

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.5.0esr/

Thank you for considering my request.
Cheers !!

The arrow that pops up in the toolbar that you click on to see the download seems sufficient. I do not know what indicator there was before not being an FF user.

maybe you have to add it through the customization menu, click anywhere in the toolbar, choose customize and drag the arrow into the toolbar. I may have added it.

By the way, I got reasonable spacing by duplicating your font settings which are mostly default, I believe. I had messed with them after install.

Up to 57, there was a tiny progress bar under the arrow with some small text that gave the estimated remaining time. And when you started the download, there was a special effect of a ghostly arrow that shrank and zoomed up into the toolbar to become that arrow.

57.9 has a glow effect as well when it pops up but no progress bar.
Correction not a glow, an animation.

Actually, I now see that there is a very tiny working progress bar under the arrow! No doubt the Mozilla developers are all 22 years old and using 30-inch monitors.

The toolbar icons and hence that bar can be made larger thorough about:config. The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx parameter can be increased. I set it at 1.5 and the progress bar becomes more visible. still hard to see.
