MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
Well, now the videos are working again without me doing anything. So it's either some random glitch that lasted a few days, or the local ISP is testing their throttling for this big streaming site.

You probably tripped some "Way-too-cool-wildlife" filter with all the coyote videos and they blocked you

Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
I noticed that Firefox will now prompt you to restart if you upgrade while it's running now. That's nice, since it just used to crash if you upgraded while it was running.

Less things crashing is a good thing. I also noticed the crash in previous releases.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
It didn't for me, no prompt at all. But after I did the MX Linux updates this morning while having Firefox open, I went to click on a link I ended up with a blank Firefox window. I used uncommon sense which was to close Firefox and restarted it and it worked fine.
I am command line illiterate. I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list.
Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
When I tried to open a new page after the upgrade, it showed me the prompt to restart after the background update instead of just going to the new page. However, it just closed and never restarted after I hit the "Restart" button in the notice, so I started it manually.
Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
Now updated to the latest 62.0.3 release in the main repo.
