And better fitting tabs.. the active tab looks smaller than the other tabs. This is due to my color scheme by the looks.
Not that I care so much about the looks of firefox, I use chrome as my main browser.. it is just something I noticed that stood out.

Oops! Sorry for the misinformation - I was checking out Quantum in Windows 10, and the option is there. Didn't realise Linux was the poor relation yet again!chrispop99 wrote:Menu icon>Customize>Toolbars (at bottom left of page.)Adrian wrote:Pretty smooth, quick question, is there a way to get rid of window titlebar like in Chrome (it saves a bit of screen real estate).
You can toggle Toolbars and Bookmarks bar.

Yep, that's a workaround, but you need to do it each time you start it.richb wrote:F11.
I guess there will be an add-on or the feature will be included eventually.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
F11 is not the same, it hides tabs and address bar which is not the desired effect... I know I sound picky...
Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
I cannot judge because I have not used FF in years. All I know is it gets rid of the title bar and bookmark bar for the session. I prefer to have them shown. To each his own. Is this lack going to influence whether 57 becomes the default? Fine with me.

You can set the tabs and address bar to not autohide when using F11 (at least I think you can).

F11 also hides the MX panel which is not a desirable effect for most people. I guess I will have to tolerate the titlebar until a FF addon to replace HideCaptionTitleBarPlus is written or until FF58 comes out.
I might use Slimjet as my main browser until that time as it has no annoying titlebar.

What about using the xfce4-windowck-plugin to get rid of the titlebar for all maximized apps?Kestrel wrote:F11 also hides the MX panel which is not a desirable effect for most people. Re: MX 17 Repository: The firefox thread
Is that in the repos Stevo? I will look into it. Thanks
Found this tip in the FAQ on Stevos link:
"Xfce 4.12 now support Titileless feature!! Enable it in window manager tweaks → accessibility." So without installing the plugin I ticked the relevent box in window manager tweaks and the titlebar vanished. Unfortunately so did the close and minimize buttons.
It works but you have to get used to closing FF by left clicking on the panel because the close box in the upper right is hidden.
