Hmmm...they finally updated the about:mozilla creepy message Easter Egg to allude to some features of the new release, too:

The Beast adopted new raiment and studied the ways of Time and Space and Light and the Flow of energy through the Universe. From its studies, the Beast fashioned new structures from oxidised metal and proclaimed their glories. And the Beast’s followers rejoiced, finding renewed purpose in these teachings.

from The Book of Mozilla, 11:14

Play "spot the allusion"! 11:14 is a gimme.

The plugin is pretty old these days (firefox 46?). Its usually auto-added if you go to a site like Netflix for videos or if the "Enable DRM" option is turned on in settings. This setting can be disabled and the plugin removed if its not something you want, as long as you don't need it for video sites.

plugin can't be remove, there is no uninstall or remover.
i set it 'never activate' (disable) and turn 'off' automatic updates'

hmm... I thought you could remove it when the "Enable DRM" option in settings is disabled. I might well be wrong about that.
