If any fix on MX requires the lack of using a screensaver
Seems to me it is a fix required on Palemoon, not MX, since as you asserted it only occurs with Palemoon.

Have I missed something? Been using PaleMoon 27.9.1 for several days without any problems.

Yep, the 32bit version did had a unfortunate dependencies issue within the deb. Fixed now by Stevo!
And by this he had to rebuild the 64bit version also!

FI: I have just tried palemoon 27.9.1 today, and I think that it will be my web browser by default ... I like it, small and efficient right now.
