Blank screen after reboot and again after reinstall from console with "ddm-mx -i nvidia"
Can you please update Nvidia legacy drivers too?
We now have an update to the legacy 340xx drivers from Sid in test, which may help:
* use-nv-kernel-ARCH.o_shipped.patch: Simplify for better kernel
compatibility. (Closes: #922479)
And we need testers before we can move them to main, since we are leery of pushing drivers to main without testing, and I don't have the hardware.

The bug report says it will now build on 4.20 kernels.
Works like a charm.

EDIT:
Unfortunately it won't build with newest liquorix 5.0 kernels.

I like and use liquorix kernels because on my machine they work best over all other kernels (I try them all).
Machine is more responsive in multitasking and even in browsing internet (sites and browsers tend to be resource hungrier as time pass), coping/moving large (numbers of) files and compressing/decompressing archives are lag free etc.
So I really appreciate your hard work to bring these kernels in mx linux.

Updating to 5.0-6, based on 5.0.7 kernel, in the test repo.
I'm also sending the Nvidia 340xx legacy drivers to the test repo which are patched to build on 5.0 kernels. The 390xx legacy drivers in main will also build on these kernels, for those that can't use the 410.104 in the test repo, or or still using 32-bit.

Tried your Liquorix 5.0.7 on antiX 17.4.1 yesterday won,t boot on to desktop even after running (ddm-mx -i nvidia) 410.104 driver . Uninstalled
But your Liquorix 5.0.6 runs just fine.

Stretch-backports has removed the 410.104 driver, but that doesn't make any difference it you already had it installed. The legacy 390xx 390.116 driver in MX main also builds on the 5.0 kernel.

Thanks Stevo I have uninstall 5.0.7. for some reason won't go to the desktop after ddm-mx -i nvidia. Will say with 5.0.6 for now.. Awesome Sound (only thing is using mvp a small 4mm opaque bar at the top of the screen not even worth worrying about really)
Still running 410.104 from Deb.

anticapitalista Any hope uploading the 390.116 to antiX repo (No biggie if not). Many repo's in the antiX list not even working. Been deleting them from the list.

Thanks

According to this all the mirrors are working fine. Post your antix.list

Sorry anticapitalista I did not mean the main antiX repos.

sudo grep -Erh ^deb /etc/apt/sources.list*
deb http://mx.debian.nz/antix/stretch/ stretch nonfree nosystemd main
deb http://ftp.au.debian.org/debian/ stretch main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.au.debian.org/debian/ stretch-updates non-free contrib main

Just the extra repos like onion , Liquorix ,opera I just remove these.

Did you also install the 5.0-6 (5.0.0-7.1) Liquorix kernel headers? If you have module-assistant installed and the repo with the headers enabled, "sudo m-a prepare" will automatically get them if you're running the kernel.
