dbus-launch iridium-browser --no-sandbox
64-bit users can now try the latest 2017.10 release of this Chromium fork from the test repo. It won't build on 32-bit, unfortunately, just like earlier versions.
Please note that there is a lag between releases of Chromium and Iridium. If you visit sketchy websites, you may be exposed to vunerabilities that are fixed in the latest Chromium releases. The Iridium Browser is based on the Chromium code base. All modifications enhance the privacy of the user and make sure that the latest and best secure technologies are used. Automatic transmission of partial queries, keywords, metrics to central services is prevented and only occurs with the approval of the user. In addition, all our builds are reproducible and modifications are auditable, setting the project ahead of other secure browser providers.
