We are pleased to offer MX-18 Continuum.

MX-18 offers the following features.

Updated packages

The latest updates from Debian 9.6 (stretch), antiX and MX repos.

GIMP 2.10 (with plugins)
MESA 18.2.6
updated firmware
4.19.5 kernel (with blk-mq file system corruption patch)
The new kernels feature meltdown/spectre mitigation, even on the 32 bit kernel.
The 32 bit iso has a PAE kernel for RAM usage above ~4GB
Easily change kernels, say to the latest liquorix kernel or downgrade to Debian Stable Kernel (4.9) with MX Package Installer

Browser: Firefox 64.0
Video Player: VLC 3.0.3
Music Manager/Player: Clementine 1.3.1
Email client: Thunderbird 52.9.1
Office suite: LibreOffice 6.0.1
Some Xfce components updated (Xfce-settings, Thunar, etc...)

selectable themes for installed system grub boot menu and plymouth boot-splash via mx-boot-options
system-keyboard and system-locale options allow easy access to configuration of system default keyboard and locales management
updates to MX Package Installer, including faster performance, flatpaks, and Popular Apps entries, including many popular 3rd party applications (Google Chrome, skype, discord, etc...)
mx-installer (based on gazelle-installer) now includes LUKS encrypted root, home, and swap partition options.
mx-codecs updated to install updated S3 texture packs (important for Valve/Steam games in particular)
many, many, many additional package and ISO repository mirrors via mx-repo-manager
(most mx-apps have already updated thru the standard update channel)

The antiX live-USB system

All the antiX live-USB features, including persistence (up to 20GB!) and remaster.

Improved localization


almost all mx-apps received translation updates (we love translators!)

Misc.

Automatic selection of appropriate driver for most broadcom chipsets (in most cases, no user intervention required)
light-locker used for screen locking (xscreensaver is available in mx-packageinstaller)
new conky configs (conky-manager for selections and location, mx-conky for color modification)
new ability to use grub themes via mx-boot-options, with set of choices available
lightdm-gtk-greeter (the login screen) now has locale selection options
Thunar custom actions updates:
use default text editor for "Edit as Root" rather than a hard-coded editor
add sha hash verification option
removed "Change Owner to..." actions

New art work

Note: Testers who installed MX-18 RC1 do not need to reinstall. Re-installation is recommended for people who installed Betas.

Please report bugs to the new bugzilla bugtracker Bug Manager

If posting hardware issues, please post the output of the terminal command "inxi -Fxrz" or use our "Quick-system-info" from the menu, at a minimum.

If posting nvidia-installer issues, please post the contents of /var/log/ddm.log.

If posting remaster issues, please include the contents of /var/log/live/live-remaster.log

If posting issues with MX-PackageInstaller "Popular Apps", please post contents of /var/log/mxpi.log or /var/log/mxpi.log.old (whichever contains the log of your issue).
