Re: Antech Icons
The penny has dropped!! Good idea, tascoasttascoast wrote:In here, where you can see look and panel icons. Admittedly you could even two tone the background or something to reflect light/dark themes, but just a thought on working from familiar conventions.

Ah, I see what you mean about the mountains/pyramids maybe not working as well as it might in theory.antechdesigns wrote:mx-tools.png
But the teal one is still quite nice (ok I just like that colour ).
Let's see what others think.

I agree, the teal one works well for me. Am going to use it myself.

Re: Antech Icons
Looks nice. I dabbled with a couple of alternative Whisker Menu and Settings Manager icons in MX-15, I think it was now.
I'll do a clean HDD install of MX-16.1 eventually. The current MX-16 has some legacies like Compton Manager and various apps and themes naturally, although fully dist upgraded to MX-16.1.
I will try some of the new icons on a Live USB and see if I can arrange things so that that carry over with a personal and general remaster, as a bit of a learning exercise. Revising default wallpapers could be an easy start.
Looks forward to the MX artwork gallery....

1) are not grey and black, but lighter blue and blue? The shades of blue are to be in line with the shades used by the icons for panel settings or workspaces in the xfce settings manager (see pic posted earlier by tascoast).
Or
2) are lighter teal and teal?

Re: Antech Icons
I'm really liking all this new icon work! I would think most of the Mx-tools could use a icon freshening.
In the near term, I could use a new tray icon for mx-usb-unmounter.
parameters: must be visible on light and dark themes. Must look decent from 22 px up to 48 px to accommodate changes in tray/panel width. And it must look decent with both the current papirus icons and faenza icon themes. If it actually looked like a usb-stick that would be great.

Re: Antech Icons
I cropped a simple icon shape for illustration, but the USB symbol is a possible inclusion, although MX USB Unmounter works for optical media too, I think?
