MX-17_KDE_Android-HTC_not showing in Dolphin

#1 Post by JBoman »

As per the subject line my HTC one M9 is not showing up in Dolphin file manager but does show up in the stock file manager. Phone is set for "MTP" media transfer protocol and plugs USB. Have tried plugging in before and after Dolphin is opened and it doesn't show. Checked hidden files but not sure what I'm looking for that would cause it to be recognized in the default file manager but not in Dolphin. Any suggestions appreciated. :crossfingers:

It was not installed so installed it. Now it errors with no kf5/kio-mtp plugin found. I've looked for it but can't find one; did search for mtp in synaptic and found plugins but none match.

How about kio-extras? It installs a .../qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/mtp.so file.

Well... installed kio-extras and the HTC shows up in Dolphin and selecting it does not error out now but clicking any folder icons shown on the mounted HTC just changes the icon + to a icon - and does not open the folder. So as of now I can see it and can mount it but cannot access files or folders on it. Hmmm?

It's working on my MX-17.1 KDE. I'm getting 2 Samsung android icons (the upper is'nt working). When clicking on the lower icon, you get to a phone icon and the next is the folders.
Had to tweak kde for all icons to show up and to get single click. Have you done that?

Henry & Stevo, Once it started showing my HTC I must have went brain blank cause it ended up being simple... I had not configured Dolphin for single click to open yet and being used to single click it took me awhile to double click a folder and realize thats all that was wrong. Thanks, Jerry
