Help Request for odd Bluetooth behavior

#1 Post by rover »

I 'm attempting to install MX-KDE , on a Lenovo G50-45 ,and i'm experiencing an odd bluetooth behavior. I want to make clear that this happens not just on MX-KDE but on standard MX 64 bit as well , so i must assume that this has to do with the particular machine.

Both Blueman and Bluedevil show bluetooth as active but no matter what i've tried i cannot make the device discoverable .
If it is any help lsusb output is

That's a 2-yr old OS, a lot behind where bluetooth apps are now. You might try the MX-17 Beta 1 and see if your results are any different.
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox and Windows 10
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin
