MX-15-KDE Unable to create a desktop activity [SOLVED]

When trying to create an activity, I found the process stops dead without any feedback.

With the activities menu open, click Create > Templates and choose any one you wish, it will not go through to completion. The Photos activity tried to start with gwenview and digikam selected to autostart, but neither ran, however, if I click either selection and click on run selected, the app fires up.

Having done a bit of research, I came across a thread that mentioned "kactivitymanagerd" needed to be running and when I run an apt-cache policy search on it, it returned a blank.

I did a search of the installed system and found some language pack files with kactivitymanagerd.mo in /usr/share/locale, but that is no evidence of an executable.

Any clues?

It looks like it's in libkactivities-bin: https://packages.debian.org/search?sear ... e&arch=any

I don't see it installed in my respin--I'll make sure it is in the next snapshot

Thanks Stevo. That did the trick. I had to clean up a dozen or so activities I'd created which never saw the light of day until the package was installed and I had rebooted.
