MX15/16 - flatpak

#1 Post by asqwerth » Sat Jul 28, 2018 1:58 am

The flatpak version in MX Test Repo is 0.8.5, but according to a search on Debian packages at https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=flatpak

the latest jessie-backport version is 0.8.9.

It appears that there have been at least some changes to the flatpak commands.

I use this guide for flatpak commands: http://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/using-flatpak.html

and there, the command for listing remotes is:

Code: Select all

flatpak remotes
But when I typed it into terminal, I got "no such command". The

Code: Select all

man
command shows that in MX15/16's version of flatpak, the command is still:

Code: Select all

flatpak remote-list

Finally, the current version 0.8.5 in Test Repo works fine and solves some bugs. It should in the meantime be moved to Main Repo for MX15/16.

Stevo, is flatpak 1.0.1+ (Stretch backports) backportable all the way back to Debian Jessie (MX15/16)?

If so, I request the same.

At the very least, flatpak 0.8.9 from Jessie backports should in due course be moved to main repo. I can't recall if I'd tested it on my MX15/16 install. I'll check and if not, I will try to test it latest by Sat).

I'll take a look at backporting 1.0.1
