A bit late to the party, but I downloaded the peazip-6.4.1.src and it built cleanly on 32 bit netbook and
on 64 bit desktop on fpc-3.0 & lazarus-1.6.

Will put it in my Dropbox tomorrow for anyone interested to test.

It offers a nice GUI and many checksum algorithms, etal.

The pea 32bit binary is 4.537 MB and
the pea 64bit binary is 5.913 MB.
Each has a rnd file that is created on first execution.

I've found that changing the name of the executable prevents execution; otherwise, it worked OK on md5 and sha256.

Will upload both to my Dropbox tomorrow and post a link for testing. Both run as expected on my equipment.

Waiting on Dropbox to update.
Only have internet connection when visiting friends whose telephone cables haven't been stolen.

A note relayed from Richard. (we have limited backdoor communications via his mobile.)
Gordon.

He wrote:" Back on Data Plan.
Before the electricity went off at 1555, had confirmed that the 32bit pea
was up. Lights went out before could confirm 64bit.

Link pea-32bit: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cobmpt5l3bmo ... Zr8ca?dl=0

Link pea-64bit: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v7hljbxdztnl ... de7Ta?dl=0

Copied links by hand so if one should fail, just wait until tomorrow when I will return to the wifi house again to confirm.
Didn't accomplish much in the time before lights went out today."

Back again.
In the MX folder under this link:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/x6xql8grg0mr ... mDRJa?dl=0
are the 32 & 64 bit binaries of peazip. This folder also contains the draft version of the Spanish translation.
Included for Gordon since I changed the URL, just in case he might need it.

To verify the original links posted for binaries uploaded. These and more are available via the link above.

pea-64bit: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v7hljbxdztnl ... de7Ta?dl=0

In each directory there is a pea executable. You should only need to download the pea file and make sure it is executable. Nice thing about GUIs is that you don't have to remember all the commands.

The more I use peazip the more I like it. It is fast and provides many alternatives for creating, checking, and more.

Regards.

Thanks. It does give one more time to think. :)
It's kind of like a time machine. Remembering how easy it was to just google-it.
Life used to be like this where I grew up in central Louisiana.
The library wasn't open after 5pm nor on Saturday/Sunday.

Thanks for the translation files Richard. Have received some proof checked from Megatotoro, more to come.
Peazip looks interesting, will give it a try,

O.T.Not sure where you were in Louisiana but looks as if the western districts have suffered a bit from Harvey, with another tropical low developing over Florida

A big thank-you for that from me, too, Richard! Great you like PeaZip, too!

Just wanted to install it, but your Dropbox link doesn't work any more. Could you possibly provide your package in the MX Test Repo?

Greetings, Joe

Hola Joe,
My internet has problems.

I may have removed it from
Dropbox during an early spring cleaning.
I'll put them both back up
and post the link, ASAP.

Since it is an unofficial build
I don't know how or to whom
to send it. As above I'll post the link
in this thread when it's back up.

Regards, Richard.

@Joe,
Here is the link to my MX folder on Dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7i4q4ojrhrqz ... W3qJa?dl=0

The 64 bit works .
The 32 bit didn't start on my 64 bit laptop, and I'm not close to 32 bit Box. Please advise if it gives problems.

Regards, Richard.
