MX-15/16 repository: The wesnoth thread

#1 Post by mmikeinsantarosa » Wed Apr 06, 2016 7:07 pm

wesnoth-1.13.2 is now available for download from the test repo.
This one regularly gets rated as a top 10 linux game.
The Battle for Wesnoth is a Free, turn-based tactical strategy game with a high fantasy theme, featuring both single-player, and online/hotseat multiplayer combat. Fight a desperate battle to reclaim the throne of Wesnoth, or take hand in any number of other adventures.
Check out the vendors forum release thread for more information.

from synaptic, enable the test repo and search for wesnoth-1.13. Everything but the music package gets checked so be sure to also check wesnoth-1.13-music. There are 2 older versions available 1.10 & 1.12.

The latest wesnoth-1.13.4 is now available for download from the test repo.
What's new:
* Language and i18n:
* Updated translations: British English, Russian
* User interface:
* Fix vertical alignment of individual attacks listed in the Attack Unit
dialog.
* Removed extra padding below unit stats in the Attack Unit dialog.
* Miscellaneous and bug fixes:
* Fix non-deterministic crashes in the Attack Unit dialog resulting from
invalid memory references (regression introduced in 1.13.3).
* Fix uninitialized variable in event handling code (bug #24498).
Edit: I did upgrade over a 1.13.2 without any problems.

wesnoth-1.14.4 is now available for download from main. Anybody that has this game installed should upgrade now.
This maintenance release for the stable 1.14.x series fixes a severe security vulnerability in the game engine that can be used to remotely execute arbitrary code on your computer.

We strongly advise that users of all previous versions upgrade immediately. If you are using Wesnoth on Steam and have automatic updates enabled for Wesnoth, you will already have this update installed by now.

In addition to this, 1.14.4 delivers the usual assortment of bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and translation updates you’ve come to expect from a stable branch. And just like other releases in this series, it is fully compatible with previous 1.14.x versions.

A full list of changes and new features added since version 1.12 can be found in the release notes for this series
A big thanks to Tim for building the jessie set!
