Klayout 0.24.6 is now in the test repository. This was packaged from scratch from the source code, since I couldn't find it in any repository. It's a feature-packed electronic circuit layout viewer and editor:

And appears in the Graphics submenu.

As with any program in the test repo, please let us know how it installs and runs if you give it a try--though we know the potential user base of this program would be limited. Thanks!

Stevo,

Thanks.
I did the synaptic since you put klayout into the test repo.
I enabled the test repo, installed klayout.
No problems or errors.

I disabled the test repos and loaded klayout.
It loaded fast and with no problems. I would say faster than on my windows laptop though this workstation has a bit more horsepower and less bloat.

I opened a complex file, all seems normal.
I did a quick dip into the edit function (launch from the command line with the -e option), and a cursory look indicates that it is working.

Over all I would say a complete success.

OK to move from testing in my opinion.

Klayout 0.25.8 is in the test repo. Like every other Linux version I could find, it is for 64-bit only. The build procedure required some reworking from the previous 0.24.6 version. There are also two menu entries for the Viewer and Editor modes, in the Development submenu.

Release notes are here.
