4.9-20 is now available in the test repo.
If you require the use of broadcom-sta, ndiswrapper, fglrx or nvidia-driver you will need to upgrade/install the versions from the test repo. If you do not do this your older drivers will fail to compile.

Just got around to installing this kernel on the laptop that I use to run my music server. Some really interesting improvements in the speed that the music starts playing. I'm using mpd as a music server and under the stock kernel, there's a bit of a lag between clicking "play" in the mpd client and when playback starts. In my case, the signal is fed from the laptop to an external, USB digital audio converter. Using the liquorix kernel, playback starts nearly instantly once the "play" button is clicked.

Very nice! Thanks for your efforts getting this packaged for MX-15/16.

Yes, the liquorix kernel maintainer, Steve Damentz, tunes the kernel for the best responsiveness that's possible short of real-time, making it much better for audio work than the stock Debian one.

4.10-2 is now available in the test repo.
If you require the use of broadcom-sta, ndiswrapper, fglrx or nvidia-driver you will need to upgrade/install the versions from the test repo. If you do not do this your older drivers will fail to compile.
This version switches back to the p-state power management for Intel processors. Stevo mentioned that he doesn't get a long list of frequencies and governors any more with the cpufreq indicator, just a choice between the powersave and performance governors.

It turns out we can add "intel_pstate=disable" to the GRUB command line to have the kernel fall back to the standard cpufreq governors, if anyone prefers those. I just added it manually for a test boot--you'll have to use GRUB Customizer or manually edit the appropriate files to have it as default.

This is not limited to the Liquorix kernels, either.
