firefox-65.0 should be showing up in your update list from synaptic.
Enhanced security for macOS, Linux, and Android users via stronger stack smashing protection which is now enabled by default for all platforms. "Stack smashing" is a common security attack in which malicious actors corrupt or take control of a vulnerable program.

I've been waiting on FF 65 but it isn't showing up in synaptic.

firefox-65.0.1 is available to upgrade to.

There were a couple minor security issues fixed n this one.

We have firefox-66.0 in main now.

It's probably a good idea to upgrade now as there were a couple of critical security vulnerabilities fixed in this one.

The search engine "bug" mentioned in this thread has been fixed in firefox-66.0.3..+3. It just showed up for me in synaptic so it might take a while for this update to be reflected in all the mirrors.
